67th National Film Awards: Makers of Chhichhore dedicate the award to Sushant Singh Rajput

A few months ago, winners of India’s 67th National Film Awards were announced, and on Monday (25), the award ceremony took place in Delhi, India.

Shraddha Kapoor and late Sushant Singh Rajput starrer Chhichhore (2019) won National Film Award for Best Feature Film in Hindi. The film’s producer Sajid Nadiadwala and directed Nitesh Tiwari attended the award ceremony.


According to ANI, at the red carpet of the event, Nadiadwala and Tiwari stated that they dedicate the award to Rajput. They said, "Sushant is an integral part of our film. He made us proud. We are dedicating this award to him.”

Nadiadwala’s statement was also posted on Twitter by his production house, Nadiadwala Grandson Entertainment. They tweeted, “A Moment of Pride for all of us at NGE today as we’ve received the prestigious National Award for #Chhichhore! Thank you @initeshtiwari for this special movie! We’re really grateful for all the love & dedicate this award to #SushantSinghRajput - #SajidNadiadwala.”

Chhichhore was Rajput’s last theatrical release. His last two films, Drive and Dil Bechara, got a direct-to-digital release on Netflix and Disney+ Hotstar respectively.

The 67th National Film Awards were attended by many other celebs like Rajinikanth, Kangana Ranaut, Dhanush, Manoj Bajpayee, and others.

ANI tweeted the pictures of Ranaut, Dhanush, and Bajpayee, and wrote, “67th National Film Awards | Kangana Ranaut receives the Best Actress award for "Manikarnika" and "Panga". Dhanush and Manoj Bajpayee receive the Best Actor award for "Asuran" and "Bhonsle" respectively.”

Leona Lewis’s One More Sleep has officially been named the most streamed British Christmas song of the 21st century. The 2013 festive hit, which reached number three on the UK singles chart, has now surpassed 190 million streams in the UK, according to the Official Charts Company.
