1. Dil Chahta Hai
This is one of the best films about friendship in recent times so we have to mention this on our list. This comedy-drama film stars Aamir Khan, Saif Ali Khan and Akshaye Khanna. The film was written and directed by Farhan Akhtar and it is set in modern-day urban Mumbai and Sydney and focuses on a major period of transition in the lives of three young friends. 2. Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara
The film showcases a friendship between Hrithik Roshan as Arjun, Abhay Deol as Kabir and Farhan Akhtar as Imraan. The film follows the three friends Arjun, Kabir, and Imraan, who have been inseparable since childhood. They set off to Spain on a bachelor trip and meet Katrina Kaif as Laila, who falls in love with Arjun and helps him overcome his compulsion to work. This film also portrays love, hate and jealousy between friends and how they overcome it.
3. Rock On!
The film stars Akhtar, Arjun Rampal, Luke Kenny and Purab Kohli in the lead. This story is about four friends and the things that each one of them goes through in their life is so relatable, that you feel like you're looking at your own life. The story follows a group who had started a Mumbai-based grunge rock band, "Magik" but due to circumstances, the group broke up and how their friendship make them reunite again.
4. Queen
The film stars Kangana Ranaut in the lead role, with Lisa Haydon and Rajkummar Rao playing supporting roles. The films is a story about a girl Rani (Kangana Ranaut), an under-confident Punjabi girl from New Delhi embarks on her honeymoon to Paris and Amsterdam by herself after her fiancé calls off their wedding. And on that journey, how she meets new people and a friendship follows with it.
5. Rang De Basanti
This is a story of a group of friends who find purpose in life while filming a documentary. Aamir Khan, Siddharth Narayan, Soha Ali Khan, Kunal Kapoor, R. Madhavan, Sharman Joshi, starrer Rang De Basanti brought about a sort of revolution amongst the youth. It was the highest-grossing film in its opening weekend in India and had the highest opening day collections for a Bollywood film. The film was well received and praised for strong screenplay and dialogues.
