World Cup 2023: Amitabh Bachchan and Rajinikanth to attend Ind Vs Pak match

This Sunday, October 14, the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad is set to host the much-anticipated match between arch-rivals India and Pakistan for the ICC Men’s ODI World Cup 2023. Apart from thousands of fans, a number of celebrities from various walks of life are also set to attend the high-voltage game.

According to reports, Indian cinema legends Amitabh Bachchan and Rajinikanth, and cricket icon Sachin Tendulkar have been invited to attend the match on October 14.


Bachchan, who celebrated his 81st birthday on Wednesday, has a history of attending high-profile cricket matches. In 2015, he even turned cricket commentator during the World Cup match between India and Pakistan in Adelaide, Australia.

Prior to the match, a grand musical ceremony will take place. Leading playback singer Arijit Singh will be performing live for the cricket fans.

The musical ceremony will begin at 12.40 pm and go on till 1.10 pm. Ranveer Singh and Tamannaah Bhatia are also expected to perform during the ceremony.

Along with the Golden Ticket holders like Big B and Rajinikanth, many VIPs are expected to be present for the India vs Pakistan match.

On the work front, Senior Bachchan will next be seen in Tiger Shroff and Kriti Sanon’s Ganapath. He also has Nag Ashwin’s sci-fi film Kalki 2898 AD alongside Prabhas and Deepika Padukone and the Hindi remake of The Intern with Padukone.

Rajinikanth, who was most recently seen in Jailor, is presently shooting for his 170th film.
