Will Varun Dhawan not star in brother Rohit Dhawan’s next?

Rohit Dhawan, who last directed Dishoom starring younger brother Varun Dhawan and John Abraham, had no release in 2017. We hear that the director is currently working a film, which he plans to start next year. It will be a Nadiadwala Grandson Entertainment, to be bankrolled by filmmaker Sajid Nadiadwala. However, Rohit’s next film will not feature his younger brother Varun Dhawan.

Varun has too many projects in his hand at the moment, and therefore it is impossible for him to manage dates from another film. His dates are blocked for more than a year, so it is unlikely that he will give his nod to any another film before completing his current project.

“The film goes on the floors next year and Varun has no dates available, anyway. He has wrapped up October and is currently finishing some patchwork on the film. Then, there’s Sui Dhaaga, which he starts early next year with Anushka Sharma and post that, he begins Abhishek Varman’s multi-starrer film which also has Alia Bhatt, Sonakshi Sinha, Sridevi, Sanjay Dutt and Aditya Roy Kapur,” reveals a source.

The source further adds that Rohit is also planning another film, which might be headlined by his actor brother, but that will take some time as Rohit will first complete his film for Sajid. “Rohit and Varun will be teaming up definitely for another film. But that will be after this one, which Rohit is writing now.”

Varun Dhawan’s October by Shoojit Sircar is scheduled to release on April 13, 2018.
