Top five movies on the defence forces

Uri: The Surgical Strike - The film starring Vicky Kaushal chronicles the events of the surgical strike conducted by the Indian military against the suspected militants in Pakistan occupied Kashmir.

The film is written and directed by debutant Aditya Dhar and it features Paresh Rawal, Yami Gautam, Mohit Raina, Rajit Kapur and Kirti Kulhari in pivotal roles.


Border - Said to be one of the best Indian war movies, Border is based on the 1971 Ind-Pakistan war. The star cast of the film includes Sunny Deol, Sunil Shetty, Tabu and Pooja Bhatt.

Lakshya - The Farhan Akhtar directed movie follows the journey of an aimless and irresponsible youngster who joins the army and becomes a battlefield hero. The film stars Hrithik Roshan in the lead role.

The Ghazi Attack - The Sankalp Reddy directed movie is about an Indian naval submarine intercepting a Pakistani submarine to thwart its mission of destroying INS Vikrant.

Haqeeqat - The 1964 movie is directed by Chetan Anand and it chronicles the journey of a platoon of Indian soldiers as they encounters harsh realities while fighting in the Sino-Indian War of 1962.
