Sridevi’s last film Mom to hit Chinese screens on March 22

After having a successful run in India in 2017, late actress Sridevi’s last film Mom is now set for its Chinese premiere. Yes, the makers of the film have announced that the much-loved movie will releases in Chinese theatres on 22nd March, 2019.

Before China, the Ravi Udayawar directorial has already been released in several countries like USA, UK, UAE, Poland, Czech Republic, Russia, and Singapore. Mom was the 300th film of Sridevi who is hailed as Indian cinema’s first female superstar.


The movie stars the late veteran actress in the role of a mother who goes all out to avenge the brutal rape of her elder daughter. Upon its release, Mom garnered positive response from all sections, with Sridevi receiving a lot of appreciation and adulation for her outstanding performance.

In a press conference, late actress’ husband Boney Kapoor said, “Mom is a film that has connected with both, mothers and audiences, from every region. This is Sri's last film and our aim is to tell this beautiful story and showcase her most remembered last film to as many people as possible”.

"Zee Studios International has been a part of Mom's success since day one and I am glad to see them take this film to heights even two years after its release," he added.

For her excellent performance in Mom, Sridevi was awarded the 65th National Film Awards for Best Actress posthumously. She breathed her last on 24th February, 2018.
