Shraddha Kapoor thrilled to have come onboard for Street Dancer 3D

Shraddha Kapoor is over the moon these days. 2019 has been an immensely fruitful year for the actress. Besides signing some exciting movies, she delivered two back-to-back hits with Saaho and Chhichhore, which is certainly not an easy feat to achieve. Saaho and Chhichhore released within a gap of a week and put up a great show at the box-office.

After basking in the success of her two recent movies, Shraddha Kapoor is now looking forward to the release of her next film Street Dancer 3D. Produced by T-Series Films, Street Dancer 3D is a special movie for the actress for a variety of reasons. It reunites her with Varun Dhawan and filmmaker Remo D’Souza after their 2015 hit ABCD 2.

As we all know that Katrina Kaif was the first choice for the female lead in Street Dancer 3D. But since the actress was busy with the shoot of Bharat (2019), she had to opt out of the dance flick and the role eventually went to Shraddha Kapoor. When asked if she had any thoughts on replacing Katrina Kaif in the film, Shraddha Kapoor said no.

"No, not at all. Ultimately, I feel like there are so many reasons. Like I couldn't do Saina for whatever reasons and these things happen. Eventually, I think it is what you are happy with. I was super thrilled that I came on board for Street Dancer 3. I love to dance. It's one of my most favourite things in the world. So, I was super excited to get back on Street Dancer and be with my old gang, my ABCD 2 gang. Characterisation is super different and very, very exciting. So, I was only happy about it. And for whatever reason am in the film, I've had a great time. Am very happy,” said the actress.

Produced by Bhushan Kumar and Lizelle D'Souza, Street Dancer 3D is slated to arrive in cinemas on 24th January, 2020.
