Shah Rukh Khan to add a Qawwali song to Zero

Buzz has it that superstar Shah Rukh Khan and director Aanand L Rai feel that if they add a Qawwali song to the soundtrack of their forthcoming venture Zero, it will increase the buzz of the film among the audience.

A source close to the development told an Indian daily that both Khan and Rai have started planning for the Qawwali song. The special number will be sung by a group of Marathi singers whose names are being kept under the wraps.

“The director and Shah Rukh Khan are planning to shoot a Qawwali song for the film. The music director and singers, who are assigned the job of recording this Qawwali number, are from the Marathi film industry. They will soon begin recording. We are not yet sure of their names though,” said the source.

The makers are gearing up to shoot the song towards the beginning of December in Mumbai. “This Qawwali song will be shot only after November 30, at Film City. So, the shooting schedule should start in the first week of December.”

Zero, one of the most-awaited films of the year, stars Shah Rukh Khan as a dwarf called Bauua Singh. Besides Khan, the movie also stars Anushka Sharma and Katrina Kaif in principal characters.

Produced by Red Chillies Entertainment and Colour Yellow Productions, Zero is slated to arrive in cinemas on 21st December, 2019.
