Shah Rukh Khan in talks to do Hindi remake of a Tamil film!

Superstar Shah Rukh Khan, who is currently busy with the shooting of his forthcoming untitled film with filmmaker Anand L Rai, has reportedly been approached to star in the Hindi remake of the Tamil blockbuster film, Vikram Vedha.

Starring Vijay Sethupathi and R. Madhavan in pivotal roles, Vikram Vedha hit screens on 21st July and received an overwhelming response from the audience. The film which was made at a moderate budget of Rs. 11 crores went on to pocket a whopping Rs. 50 crores and was declared a blockbuster.

Now, reports of it being made in Hindi with megastar Shah Rukh Khan have hit the headlines. According to reports, Khan is not just keen in starring the film, but he also wants to produce it under his home banner, Red Chillies Entertainment.

However, the other side of the story is that the makers of the Tamil film claim that they have not given the remake rights of the movie to anyone. If that is true, then the stories of Shah Rukh Khan showing interest in its remake are mere speculations.

Adding further, the makers of the Tamil film say that they themselves are keen in remaking Vikram Vedha in Hindi and want to co-produce it with other producers. We hope producers in Bollywood are listening to their wish.
