Shah Rukh Khan: I have surreptitiously signed so many films that even I am not aware of

Shah Rukh Khan was last seen on the big screen in 2018 release Zero. The film, which was directed by Aanand L Rai, also starred Anushka Sharma and Katrina Kaif in the lead roles. However, the movie was a flop at the box office. After Zero, Shah Rukh Khan has not yet announced which will be his next movie, but there have been several reports about the actor’s next project.

It is said that he will be starring in a film which will be directed by Rajkumar Hirani. A few days ago, after Inshallah was shelved, there were reports that Sanjay Leela Bhansali has roped in SRK for a movie titled Izhaar. And now, from the past couple of days, there are reports of the actor starring in Ali Abbas Zafar’s next which will be an action flick.

Well, to put a full stop on all these rumours, Shah Rukh Khan tweeted, “It’s always nice to know that in my absence & behind my back , I have surreptitiously signed so many films that even I am not aware of!! Boys & girls I do a film when I say I am doing it....otherwise it’s just post truth.”

Looks like SRK has not yet decided which will be his next movie. A couple of days ago, even Ali Abbas Zafar took to Twitter to give a clarification. The filmmaker had tweeted, “For everyone speculating .... I am in final stages of finalising my script , exciting times ahead ....”

During the Indian Film Festival of Melbourne, SRK had opened up about taking a break after Zero. The actor had stated, "I just finished the last film I made and to put it lightly, it was a disaster. I said to myself that let me enjoy a little bit of un-success as I had success for so long. So I have taken some time off for the next four or five months. As a matter of fact, I’m on these breaks... Coming here (Melbourne) and meeting people, realising and discovering new stories, doing intellectual speaking.”

Well, we are sure fans of Shah Rukh Khan are eagerly waiting to know which will be his next film.

Higher interest rates mean savers can now breach their tax-free savings allowance with much smaller balances

£12,500 in savings can now trigger a tax bill if you earn more than £50,000

  • 5.3 million non-ISA savings accounts could now generate enough interest to trigger tax.
  • That is more than 11 times the number recorded in January 2018.
  • Higher-rate taxpayers can earn only £500 in savings interest before tax applies.

Britons earning more than £50,000 could face an unexpected tax bill on relatively modest savings, as higher interest rates collide with a Personal Savings Allowance that has remained unchanged for years.

Fresh analysis from Yorkshire Building Society suggests 5.3 million non-ISA savings accounts could now generate more than £1,000 in annual interest, potentially putting the interest earned on those accounts into the tax net. That is a sharp increase from about 462,000 accounts in January 2018.
