Shah Rukh Khan & Gauri Khan offer their office as quarantine facility

Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan is one of the most generous human beings we know of in India, and he keeps proving his generosity time and again. After announcing a series of initiatives to help fight the Coronavirus outbreak, SRK and his wife Gauri Khan have now offered their office to be used as a quarantine facility in Mumbai in yet another munificent gesture.

BMC (Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation), the governing civic body of Mumbai, took to Twitter to announce the news and express their gratitude. “Stronger together. We thank Shah Rukh Khan and Gauri Khan for offering their 4-storey personal office space to help expand our quarantine capacity equipped with essentials for quarantined children, women and elderly. Indeed, a thoughtful and timely gesture! Anything for Mumbai. No to corona!” read the tweet.

On 2nd April, Shah Rukh Khan had announced that his companies – Kolkata Knight Riders, Red Chillies Entertainment, Meer Foundation and Red Chillies VFX –were contributing to a number of relief funds, including the Prime Minister’s Citizen Assistance and Relief in Emergency Situations (PM-Cares) fund and Maharashtra Chief Minister’s relief fund, among others.

In a tweet, the superstar had written, “In these times it is important to make everyone around you working tirelessly for you – not related to you. perhaps even unknown to you – to feel they are not alone and by themselves. Let’s just make sure we all do our little bit to look after each other. India and all Indians are One Family.”

The Kensington mansion once home to Freddie Mercury remains unsold more than two years after it was put on the market, adding a fresh chapter to a long-running family dispute.

Garden Lodge, an eight-bedroom property in West London, was listed for £30 million in February 2024 by Mary Austin, who inherited the house following the singer’s death at the age of 45 in 1991.
