Saqib Saleem set to play Mohinder Amarnath in Ranveer Singh’s 83

Actor Saqib Saleem, who won rave reviews for his performance in the recently-released ZEE5 original Rangbaaz (2018), has been cast to play former cricketer Mohinder Amarnath in the much-awaited film 83.

Starring Ranveer Singh as legendary cricketer Kapil Dev, the movie chronicles Indian cricket team’s historic victory against West Indies in the 1983 Cricket World Cup tournament. Mohinder Amarnath was the Vice-Captain of the team and put up a great show to ensure India walks away with the trophy.

If reports are to be believed, Saqib Saleem himself was a state level-cricketer from Delhi during his younger days. It looks like it was his knowledge of gentleman’s game which helped the actor land a high-profile role in the movie.

83 is one film that has been in the news even before its official announcement in 2017. Besides Ranveer Singh, the movie also boasts of an impressive support cast which includes Saahil Khattar as Syed Kirmani, Jiiva as Krishnamachari Srikanth, Ammy Virk as Balwinder Singh Sandhu and Pankaj Tripathi as manager PR Man Singh.

Tahir Raj Bhasin has also been roped in for an important character. Singer Harrdy Sandhu will play Madan Lal in the flick.

To be directed by Kabir Khan, 83 will start production in May. The film is slated to release on 10th April, 2020.

Robbie Williams voices concern over eyesight decline

Robbie Williams fears his weight-loss injections are damaging his vision, saying his eyesight has grown increasingly blurry in recent months. The 51-year-old, who has been using Mounjaro, believes the jab may be behind the sudden decline and wants others to be aware of possible side effects.

He told The Sun he first noticed something was wrong while watching an American football game, when the players appeared “just shapes on the field”. An optician later prescribed new glasses, but Williams said he hadn’t initially linked the problem to the injections.
