Ranveer Singh to head off to Dharamshala for a 10 day training session

After delivering two blockbusters in 2018 and starting off 2019 with the humongous success of Gully Boy, rising Bollywood star Ranveer Singh will next be seen in Kabir Khan’s sports biographical drama 83.

The film, which chronicles Indian cricket team’s iconic win against West Indies in the 1983 World Cup, is one of the hotly anticipated films of Bollywood. It sees Ranveer Singh as legendary cricketer Kapil Dev.


The latest update on the project is that Singh is set to head off to Dharamshala for a 10-day long training session. Other members of the cast will also accompany the actor to participate in the training session.

At the camp, all the actors will be learning various cricketing techniques and will be dedicatedly prepping for the movie. Besides training, the cast will also get to know each other in this 10-day training session.

83, to be produced by Reliance Entertainment, is set to release in 2020.

Besides 83, Ranveer Singh will also be seen in Karan Johar’s next directorial venture Takht. The period drama also features Kareena Kapoor Khan, Alia Bhatt, Bhumi Pednekar, Janhvi Kapoor, Vicky Kaushal and Anil Kapoor in prominent roles.

Karan Johar and Dharma Productions are betting big on fresh talent. The studio is launching two newcomers in Bollywood after what’s being called its largest-ever talent hunt, which spanned more than 500 auditions from across India. The aim, insiders say, is to find raw, authentic performers, not familiar surnames.
