Rajkummar Rao’s Made In China moves to a new release date

In order to avoid a box-office battle with big-ticket films such as Mission Mangal, Batla House and Saaho, the makers of Rajkummar Rao and Mouni Roy starrer Made In China have decided to change the release date of their much-awaited film.

Earlier scheduled to hit the marquee on 15th August, 2019, the Dinesh Vijan-produced movie will not enter theatres on August 30.

Interestingly, Made In China is not the only film which has opted for another release date to avoid a box-office clash with too many films. Filmmaker Karan Johar's fantasy drama Brahmastra was also supposed to roll into theatres during the 2019 Independence Day weekend. But keeping in mind the fierce competition at the ticket-window, the makers of the film decided to push its release to December.

Helmed by debutant Mikhil Musale, Made In China stars Rajkummar Rao as a struggling Gujarati businessman and his unusual journey to success. Mouni Roy, who made her silver screen debut with Akshay Kumar’s Gold (2018), plays his wife in the film.
