Race 4 with Salman Khan, Anil Kapoor & Bobby Deol in the offing

Race 3, starring Salman Khan, Anil Kapoor, Bobby Deol, Saqib Saleem, Jacqueline Fernandez and Daisy Shah in principal roles, entered theatres just four days ago on 15th June, but reports about Race 4, the next instalment of the Race (2008) series, have already started doing the rounds.

If reports are to be believed, Salman Khan, Anil Kapoor and Bobby Deol would return to topline the next instalment of the franchise. Khan might shoot Race 4 before beginning his much-awaited flick, Dabangg 3, which Prabhu Deva is set to direct.

"The team is already planning Race 4 which could get priority over the family film, Dabangg 3, which Prabhu Deva is to direct for Salman Khans’ production house. But, Prabhu has to clear the decks in the South before he gets down to Dabangg 3 which won't be happening until the end of 2019. Race 4 may happen before that," reveals a close friend of Salman Khan.

The source goes on to add that the makers may have to rope in a new director to take the franchise forward as Remo D’souza, who helmed Race 3, has several other commitments to fulfil.

"Remo D'souza, who directed Race 3, may not direct Race 4 as he is committed to direct a Varun Dhawan-Katrina Kaif starrer."

An official announcement is awaited.
