Pooja Hegde to star opposite Salman Khan in Kabhi Eid Kabhi Diwali

It was a few weeks ago when Salman Khan announced that he will be starring in a film titled Kabhi Eid Kabhi Diwali which will be produced by Sajid Nadiadwala and directed by Farhad Samji.

After the film was announced, there were several reports about the female lead of the film. It was said that Kriti Sanon might be seen opposite Salman in the film. However, it is not Kriti, but Pooja Hegde who has been roped in for the movie.

While talking to a tabloid, Sajid Nadiadwala said, “Having worked with Pooja in Housefull 4, we felt she was a perfect fit for this film. She has an amazing screen presence and will make for a good pair with Salman. They will bring freshness to the story.”

Kabhi Eid Kabhi Diwali is a family drama, but a source told the tabloid that the love story between Salman and Pooja plays the catalyst in the narrative. The source said, “His lady love is a traditional small-town girl who is the polar opposite of Salman’s character. Pooja has played small town roles down South in films like Mukunda, and hence the makers found her apt for the role. There’s a beautiful mature love story between the two characters, and Pooja’s track acts as the catalyst to the plot.”

Pooja Hegde is a big name down South and in Bollywood she has starred in two films earlier, Mohenjo Daro and Housefull 4. Kabhi Eid Kabhi Diwali is slated to release on Eid 2021.

Talking about Salman, he will next be seen on the big screen in Radhe: Your Most Wanted Bhai which stars Disha Patani as the female lead. The movie is being directed by Prabhudeva and it will hit the screens on Eid this year.

  • Section 21 evictions are scrapped, ending sudden removals without reason.
  • Rent hikes capped, upfront payments limited and bidding wars banned.
  • New enforcement powers and fines of up to £40,000 come into force.

From May 1, renting in England is operating under a completely new rulebook. The Renters’ Rights Act has come into force, bringing what is being described as the biggest overhaul of tenant protections in nearly 40 years.

Around 11 million private renters are now covered under the new law. The changes are not limited to one area. They cut across evictions, rent increases, discrimination, contracts and even day-to-day living conditions, marking a structural shift in how the rental market functions.
