P&B Foods extends its recall of Heera Chilli Powder Extra Hot

INDIAN origin owned P&B Foods Ltd has extended its recall of Heera Chilli Powder Extra Hot to include an additional pack size of10 x 400g.

P&B Foods has recalled two pack sizes of its Heera Chilli Powder Extra Hot due to the presence of salmonella in the product.


Pack sizes of 6 x 1 kilogram (kg) and 10 x 400 gram (g) in the batch code PB9446M/4 are being recalled as the product is unsafe to eat.

Consumption of salmonella-contaminated foods could lead to fever, diarrhoea and abdominal cramps.

Chairman Thakorbhai Vitthalbhai Patel controlled P&B Foods has issued the recall of 6 x 1kg pack size on 27 June. The 10 x 400g pack is added to the recall on Tuesday (2).

No other P&B Foods products are known to be affected, Bradford-based food manufacturer said in the recall notice.

Customers who bought the affected product are requested not to eat them. They can return the product to the store from where it was bought for a full refund.

P&B Foods Ltd functions as an ethnic and oriental wholesale food distributor. The company supplies spices, lentils, rice, flour, pickles, nuts, oils, and ready to eat meals. It operates internationally within Europe.
