Not Romania, Mahesh Bhatt’s Sadak 2 to be shot in Mumbai

Mahesh Bhatt is returning to direction after a huge gap of 20 years with Sadak 2. The movie stars Alia Bhatt, Pooja Bhatt, Sanjay Dutt, and Aditya Roy Kapur. The makers wanted to shoot a few portions of the film in Romania, but have finally decided to shoot it in Mumbai.

Confirming the report, producer Mukesh Bhatt told a tabloid, “Yes, it’s true. We didn’t find locations like Mumbai in Romania, so we would be shooting those portions here. The film will also be shot in other parts of India. The creative decision to not go ahead with Romania was taken by Mahesh, who is directing the film. We are putting up a set at Mehboob studio in Bandra where Sanjay and Alia will join us on the first day in mid-May.”

This will be for the first time when Alia Bhatt will be teaming up with her father Mahesh Bhatt and sister Pooja Bhatt. Meanwhile, Mahesh Bhatt has already directed daughter Pooja Bhatt in movies like Daddy, Dil Hai Ke Manta Nahin, Sadak, Sir, Chaahat, Tamanna, Zakhm, and others. Sadak 2 will also mark Pooja’s big screen comeback after a gap of 18 years.

Well, Alia Bhatt will be teaming up with Sanjay Dutt and Aditya Roy Kapur once again in Sadak 2 after recently released film Kalank which failed to make a mark at the box office.
