Rajkummar Rao and Nushrat Bharucha starrer Chhalaang was slated to release on 12th June 2020 and Kiara Advani starrer Indoo Ki Jawani was scheduled to hit the screens on 5th June 2020. But due to the pandemic, the release of both the films has been stalled.

It was said that Indoo Ki Jawani and Chhalaang, both the movie will get a direct-to-digital release. However, according to a report in Mid-day, the makers are planning to release the film once the theatre reopens and also plans to release Indoo Ki Jawani on 2nd October 2020.

A source told the tabloid, "Now, the team is eyeing an October 2 release for the T-Series produced film. The discussions, however, are in the nascent stage as there is uncertainty about the reopening of cinemas. If all goes well, Chhalaang, which is presented by the studio, too will hit the marquee, though its release date has yet to be ascertained."

Well, it is said that once theatres reopen in India, initially producers and exhibitors are planning to rerun the past blockbuster movies. And now, it looks like if the theatres reopen soon, Indoo Ki Jawani would be one of the first ones to hit the big screens.

Meanwhile, both Kiara and Rajkummar will be having their other film releasing on the OTT platforms. While Kiara's Laxmmi Bomb releases on Disney+ Hotstar, Rao's Ludo will release on Netflix.
