Mental Hai Kya new motion posters: No change in the title and the release date

Kangana Ranaut and Rajkummar Rao starrer Kangana Ranaut has been in the news for quite a few reasons. The movie’s release date has been changed multiple times and when the makers finally decided to release the film on 26th July 2019, it made the headlines for clashing with Hrithik Roshan starrer Super 30. While the Hrithik starrer has been rescheduled, looks like problems for Mental Hai Kya has not yet ended.

Recently, there were reports that the film will get postponed again due to its title. Reportedly, Indian Psychiatrist Society (IPS) has objections against the movie due to the title and the film’s treatment of mental health conditions. The trailer of the movie was going to be launched on 19th July but it was canceled because of the issues. Kangana had stated that they have to show the film first to CBFC before launching the trailer.

However, looks like the makers are in no mood to change the title neither have a change in the release date. The new motion posters of the film have been released with the title Mental Hai Kya and the release date written on it is 26th July 2019. Balaji Motion Pictures tweeted, “How many twists will he bring to the story? Trailer coming soon! #MentalHaiKya #TrustNoOne #KanganaRanaut @RajkummarRao @ektaravikapoor @RuchikaaKapoor @ShaaileshRSingh @pkovelamudi @KanikaDhillon @ZeeMusicCompany #MentalHaiKyaOn26thJuly.”

When a few days ago, the new poster of the film was unveiled, producer Ekta Kapoor had tweeted, “DISCLAIMER :D film in no way marginalises d mental health community & d title of our film doesn’t intend 2 disregard any1 sentiments. It is sensitive towards d issue of mental illness. A fictional thriller dat encourages you 2 celebrate Ur uniqueness & embrace Ur individuality.”

The posters of Mental Hai Kya have generated a lot of curiosity among the moviegoers and now, we wait for the trailer to be out soon. The film will be clashing with Kriti Sanon and Diljit Dosanjh starrer Arjun Patiala and Sonakshi Sinha starrer Khandaani Shafakhana.
