Madhuri Dixit announces digital debut with Netflix

After playing a pivotal part in Karan Johar’s partition drama Kalank (2019), Madhuri Dixit has teamed up with the ace filmmaker once again. The actress has announced that she is set to mark her digital debut with a Netflix series to be bankrolled by Karan Johar under Dharmatic Entertainment.

Sharing her excitement about making her internet debut, Dixit says, “I am extremely excited to be making my OTT acting debut. As an artiste, I am always looking out to do work that is creatively fulfilling and that reaches out to maximum number of people.”


The yet-to-be-titled series is a family drama full of suspense. New York-based writer-director Sri Rao has written it. Talking about the series, the talented actress said, “It reflects a bit on the lives that people in the entertainment industry lead. The story is entertaining, gripping, nail-biting, and yet heart-warming and I can’t wait to start shooting for it.”

Madhuri Dixit is happy to see how entertainment and internet have come together to create content for people to watch in all nooks and corners of the world. “Two of the most important things in the world today — entertainment and internet, thereby giving opportunities to all actors and filmmakers to create content that can reach out to millions of people across the world.”

Before signing the upcoming project with Netflix, Dixit has produced a Marathi film 15 August for the same OTT medium. She added that with changing times, the audience is also seeking engaging content. “With changing times, our audience is also seeking more engaging content, which also means sharing stories of real and strong women,” she said in conclusion.

Robbie Williams voices concern over eyesight decline

Robbie Williams fears his weight-loss injections are damaging his vision, saying his eyesight has grown increasingly blurry in recent months. The 51-year-old, who has been using Mounjaro, believes the jab may be behind the sudden decline and wants others to be aware of possible side effects.

He told The Sun he first noticed something was wrong while watching an American football game, when the players appeared “just shapes on the field”. An optician later prescribed new glasses, but Williams said he hadn’t initially linked the problem to the injections.
