M Night Shyamalan’s ‘Split’ now available on Netflix

M Night Shyamalan’s Split, which premiered in 2016, is now available to stream on Netflix.

The psychological thriller stars James McAvoy as Kevin Wendell Crumb, a man struggling with dissociative identity disorder (DID) who kidnaps and imprisons three girls in a secret underground facility.

The film premiered at Fantastic Fest on September 26, 2016, and was released in the United States on January 20, 2017, by Universal Pictures.

Split is a sequel to Shyamalan’s 2000 film Unbreakable, which has become a bit of a cult classic over the years. The film is now performing exceedingly well on Netflix alongside its significantly less successful sequel, Glass.

Meanwhile, Shyamalan is presently busy filming his next Trap.

The thriller film stars Josh Hartnett and Saleka Shyamalan in lead roles.

Trap is slated to be released in the United States by Warner Bros. Pictures on August 2, 2024. It will be Shyamalan's first film with the studio since Lady in the Water (2006).
