Kirti Kulhari signs a slice-of-life musical film

Recently seen in Amazon Prime Video’s much-loved digital series Four More Shots Please, Kirti Kulhari has now signed a new film. The untitled project stars the actress as a singer and revolves around two diametrically opposite personalities who come together during a road trip from Mumbai to Ajmer.

Named Sasha, Kulhari’s character is the lead singer of a band. She believes in living her life on her own terms and conditions. The film will be helmed by Raj Singh Chaudhary.

Talking about her character in the flick, Kirti says, “Sasha is not bound by society’s rules and lives life on her own terms. It’s something all of us seek but few find. She reflects who I am in real life.”

The actress is fond of music, something that helps her connect with her character even more. “I enjoy listening to all kinds of music which is an important part of my life. I have been learning Indian classical for a while. I have a harmonium and an electronic tanpura at home and take time out for riyaaz even while shooting. It’s meditative,” she adds.

In addition to this yet-to-be-titled film, Kirti will also be seen playing an important role in Netflix’s India original Bard Of Blood, which is being produced by Shah Rukh Khan under the banner of Red Chillies Entertainment. The digital series also features Emraan Hashmi in the lead role.
