Kiara Advani to headline Karan Johar’s Netflix Original film Guilty

Kiara Advani, who is riding high on the humongous success of her latest film Kabir Singh (2019) with Shahid Kapoor, has yet another reason to celebrate. Dharma Productions’ head honcho Karan Johar has announced that Kiara will play the female lead in his upcoming production venture, Guilty.

Guilty is a new Netflix Original film. Karan Johar is set to bankroll it under Dharmatic Entertainment, Dharma Productions’ digital component. KJo took to Twitter to announce his new production venture along with sharing the first-look of Kiara Advani from the film.


In the first-look shared by Johar, Kiara Advani is seen donning a grungy look. Ruchi Narain will direct the series. It will be the second collaboration of Johar and Advani with Netflix, after critically acclaimed four-part anthology Lust Stories (2018).

Meanwhile, after clocking over ₹ 70 crores within three days of its release, the Kiara Advani-starrer Kabir Singh is headed for ₹ 100 crore club. The movie has already been declared a hit. Looking at its current pace at the box-office, it is set to become one of the biggest blockbusters of the year.
