Katrina Kaif keen to do a film like Gone Girl or Chaalbaaz

With her performances in her few previous films like Tiger Zinda Hai, Zero and Bharat, Katrina Kaif has proved that she is not just a pretty face but can also act very well. The actress herself is now keen to experiment and do different kind of films.

Recently, during an interview with a daily, when she was asked about the genres she would like to explore, the actress said, "It’s the heart and soul of the makers, and what they’re trying to say with a film. I want to do roles that I’ve not done before. It can be an offbeat film like Gone Girl (2014), or something like Chaalbaaz (1989) — a quirky fun comedy. Or even a film like Tully (2018) starring Charlize Theron as a single mother. It’s about finding material like that. I’m not the first choice when it comes to such films because I tend to do large scale films. But, I’m dying to do a film like that with the right script. You can’t do a film just to be indulgent and have a meaty role when the story isn’t going anywhere. Writing has to be incredible."

When Katrina entered Bollywood, she was criticised a lot for her Hindi and also for her acting skills. But with every film Katrina improved and shut everyone’s mouth.

The actress is currently busy with the shooting of Sooryavanshi which is being directed by Rohit Shetty. Katrina has teamed up with Akshay Kumar for the film after a gap of a decade. The actress will be recreating the famous song of Raveena Tandon, Tip Tip Barsa Paani along with Akki in the film. Sooryavanshi is slated to release on 27th March 2019.

Apart from Sooryavanshi, Katrina doesn’t have any film in her kitty right now. Reportedly, she has been offered the biopic of athlete P. T. Usha, but there’s no official announcement about the film.
