Kartik Aaryan to play a journalist in Ram Madhvani’s next?

Murtuza Iqbal

Last month there were reports that Kartik Aaryan will be teaming up with Neerja director Ram Madhvani for a film and the shooting for the same will kickstart in December. However, the makers have not yet officially announced the project.

Now, according to a report in the entertainment portal, SpotBoye, Kartik will be seen playing the role of a journalist in the movie. A source told the portal, “The entire film unfolds in one media office. There are only 5-6 characters. It is  a very intimate low-budget one-set  film and Kartik accepted  it because he wants to work with directors who can tap his acting chops, also because  he wants to do  films far removed  from the lightweight comedies he  has  become typecast in.”

When he met  Ram, Kartik’s only precondition before signing the film was, ‘I want this film to do for me what your Neerja did for Sonam,’” added the source.

Well, if this report turns out to be true, the concept of Madhvani’s film sounds quite interesting and it will surely be something different for Kartik.

Talking about the actor’s other projects, he will be seen in Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 and Dostana 2. Recently, there were reports that he is also in talks to star in Shah Rukh Khan’s next production venture which will be a rom-com and Ajay Bahl will helm it. However, it is yet to be officially announced.
