Jacqueline Fernandez signs a biopic on cyclist Deborah Herold

Actress Jacqueline Fernandez, who was last seen in Race 3 (2018) opposite Salman Khan, will next start shooting for the official Hindi remake of Kannada blockbuster Kirik Party, which also stars Kartik Aaryan as the male lead.

The latest we hear that the gorgeous actress has now signed a biopic, which will be based on the life of cyclist Deborah Herold. If all goes well, the makers will begin production next year.

“Jacqueline really liked the script and has verbally given her nod to the project. It’s an inspiring story and she is looking forward to prep which will include some arduous training. The film is expected to roll next year,” a source divulges.

For the uninitiated, Deborah Herold is a 23-year-old Indian cyclist who hails from Car Nicobar, the northernmost part of the Nicobar Islands, and has a long list of medals to her credit. She was at Port Blair when the 2004 tsunami hit and spent over a week stuck in a tree.

Herold currently lives in New Delhi and is preparing for the 2020 Olympic Games in Tokyo.

More details on the project are awaited.
