Ileana D’Cruz on break-up with Andrew Kneebone

Bollywood actress Ileana D’Cruz, who has always been guarded about her personal life in front of the media, finally opened up about her break-up with Australian photographer Andrew Kneebone.

After being in a relationship for several years, the duo called it quits in the month of August this year, according to reports. During a media interaction, Ileana revealed that she had to seek professional advice to get over the bad phase of her life.

“I went to a therapist and she told me to accept the compliments. I have accepted myself now and I am doing well, but staying in love is a different thing. Having a partner makes you feel calm and secure, but your mental well-being is far more important,” the actress said in an interview.

“I think you owe it to yourself to take care of yourself, and the minute I realized that I saw a huge difference; not just mentally, but physically and internally as well. If you are going through bad times, then you have to work on yourself. I can’t rely on people, because you have to rely on yourself,” she added.

The actress went on to add that now she is in a good place and wishes all good things for Andrew Kneebone as well. “It is always a learning experience. I never wanted to come out bitter or someone with any animosity. It has left me stronger. Sh*t happens, but life goes on. The way I dealt with the entire thing comes with respect and love for the other person. I don’t curse or think anything bad about him. I am in a good place and I wish all good things for him.”

Meanwhile, Ileana D’Cruz is busy promoting her upcoming film Pagalpanti. Also starring John Abraham, Anil Kapoor, Arshad Warsi, Kriti Kharbanda, Urvashi Rautela and Pulkit Samrat in important roles, the comic-caper is directed by Anees Bazmee. The movie releases on 22nd November, 2019.

These titles are travelling further than they ever have, including into the UK’s busy OTT space.

It’s about scale, quality, and the strange comfort of old stories in a digital world that changes too fast. And in a UK market dealing with subscription fatigue, anything fresh, strong, and rooted in clear storytelling gets noticed.
