Here’s why Brahmastra shoot has been put on hold

Brahmastra is undoubtedly the most ambitious project for filmmaker Karan Johar at the movement. He is leaving no stone unturned to ensure that it turns out to be a never-seen-before cinematic experience for Indian audiences upon its release.

The latest update on the Ayan Mukerji directorial is that its shoot has been put on hold due to some production issues. “Ayan’s Brahmastra will be on a different scale altogether, and a film like this takes time. The film had some production issues but it will soon be back in its making,” a source reveals to an Indian daily.

Brahmastra was scheduled to enter theatres on Christmas this year. But a couple of weeks ago, Ayan Mukerji announced that the movie will not be able to make it to cinemas before summer 2020 as his team requires more time to shape it well.

Produced by Karan Johar under the banner of Dharma Productions, Brahmastra is a fantasy spectacle, starring Ranbir Kapoor, Alia Bhatt, Amitabh Bachchan and Mouni Roy in principal characters.

Besides Ranbir Kapoor, Alia Bhatt, Big B and Mouni Roy, the movie also stars southern superstar Nagarjuna in a pivotal role. Actress Dimple Kapadia will also be seen in the supporting cast.

  • Kurt Sutter says he has no involvement in Charlie Hunnam’s Legends.
  • Hunnam approached him while pitching the project and asked for his blessing.
  • The new FX limited series brings several Sons of Anarchy stars together as themselves.

For Sons of Anarchy fans, Charlie Hunnam bringing much of the old gang back together for Legends naturally raises one question: where is Kurt Sutter?

Sutter created the original FX biker drama, served as its showrunner and executive producer, and helped build the world that turned Jax Teller and the Sons into television icons. Yet he has no creative role in Legends. According to Sutter, however, that is not the result of a falling-out with Hunnam or FX. It is because the new series belongs to a different idea entirely.
