Famous Bollywood songs that were a recreated version of songs from regional films

There’s a trend in Bollywood from the few years that old Hindi songs are recreated for new movies. While some of them turn out to be quite good like Tamma Tamma, Humma Humma, some surely disappoint like the recently released Sheher Ki Ladki. But music composers just don’t recreate the old Bollywood tracks; they are also highly inspired by the songs from regional films as well.

Today, let’s look at the list of songs famous Bollywood songs that were a recreated version of songs from regional movies…

Chikni Chameli / Kombadi Palali

We all loved the song Chikni Chameli from Hrithik Roshan starrer Agneepath. Katrina Kaif danced her heart out in the track and the song also made us shake a leg on it. But, not many would know that the song was a recreated version of the Marathi song, Kombadi Palali. Each and every beat of both the songs are same, the only thing changed in Chikni Chameli was the lyrics.

Mera Naam Mary / Ye Go Ye Ye Maina

Just like Chikni Chameli we also have Mera Naam Mary. The song featuring Kareena Kapoor Khan from Brothers was a recreated version of the song Ye Go Ye Ye Maina. Though the original song had Hindi lyrics, it’s a track from Marathi film Jatra. Here too apart from the lyrics, everything was the same in both the songs.

Aa Ante Amalapuram

The Telugu song, Aa Ante Amalapuram from Allu Arjun starrer Aarya had become rage when the film released in 2004. Irrespective of the language, the song received a great response. In 2012, the song was recreated in Sonu Sood starrer Maximum. The track featured Hazel Keech and this song was the only good thing about the film.

Zingaat

Ishaan Khatter and Janhvi Kapoor’s Bollywood debut Dhadak was a remake of Marathi film Sairat. The song, Zingaat, from Sairat was a chartbuster and the makers of Dhadak decided to recreate it for the Hindi remake. Well, the new version was good but failed to create an impact like the original one.

Zilla Hilela / Aara Hile Chhapra hile

The famous track Aara Hile Chapra Hile from Bhojpuri film Khoon Pasina was an instant hit. Monalisa had stolen everyone’s heart with her thumkas in the song. Now the song has been recreated in Sidharth Malhotra and Parineeti Chopra starrer Jabariya Jodi. It features Sidharth and Elli Avram and it is quite an entertaining number.

A recent list published by Esquire magazine has revealed that 77-year-old Arnold Schwarzenegger is currently the world’s richest actor, with an estimated net worth of $1.49 billion (approximately £1.2 billion). The figure places him ahead of more active Hollywood stars, including Dwayne Johnson, Tom Cruise and Shah Rukh Khan.
