Diljit Dosanjh becomes first turbaned star to have a wax statue at Madame Tussauds

Popular Punjabi singer and actor Diljit Dosanjh has become the first turned star to have a wax statue at the famous Madame Tussauds museum. Today, he unveiled his wax statue at Madame Tussauds, Delhi, located in the Regal Building at Connaught Place.

“I first saw Madame Tussauds from outside on a trip to London when I was young. Never thought I would have my own wax figure at Madame Tussauds one day!” said elated Diljit Dosanjh.


The singer and actor went on to add, “Forget about having a wax figure here, I had almost given up hope of even entering Madame Tussauds.”

Diljit is one of the most popular artists in the world with a huge fan following in various parts of the world. He has joined a number of national and international celebrities including Virat Kohli, Sachin Tendulkar and David Beckham at the museum.

On the work front, Diljit is presently shooting for Dharma Productions’ much-awaited film Good News. Also starring Akshay Kumar, Kiara Advani and Kareena Kapoor Khan, the movie is set to release on 6th September, 2019.

Hollywood's relationship with video game adaptations has changed considerably in recent years. Shows such as The Last of Us and Fallout have demonstrated that games can translate successfully to television when their characters and worlds are treated with care. Amazon's God of War, however, has already encountered a production setback that makes its journey to the screen considerably more complicated.

Dave Bautista has closed his deal to play Kratos in the Prime Video series after Ryan Hurst, who was originally cast in the role, suffered a serious on-set injury. Hurst reportedly tore his bicep while performing a stunt in June, around four months into filming. Amazon MGM Studios and Sony Pictures Television subsequently decided to recast the central role.
