Diljit Dosanjh and Yami Gautam team up for a comedy

Diljit Dosanjh and Yami Gautam are all set to be seen on the big screen for the first time in filmmaker Aziz Mirza’s son Haroon’s directorial debut. The untitled film is a comedy and it is produced by Ramesh Taurani.

Confirming the news, Taurani told a tabloid, “Yes, Diljit and Yami have given their nod to the film. It’s a fresh pairing and we are excited because both are competent actors with impeccable comic timing. It is a sensible comedy and revolves around a couple.”

The movie will also feature another teenage twosome and the makers are looking for new faces for it. Taurani added, “We also need another actress who has a crucial role to play in the narrative. The casting should be locked soon.

This is the last script written by filmmaker Neeraj Vora who passed away in 2017. The producer said, “It’s an interesting story, we will be meeting soon for readings before we roll in August.”

We are sure fans of Diljit and Yami would be quite excited to see them on the big screen together.

Meanwhile, currently, Yami is busy with the shooting of Bala which also stars Ayushmann Khurrana and Bhumi Pednekar. On the other hand, Diljit has movies like Arjun Patiala and Good News in his kitty.
