Delhi’s air pollution a hurdle for Dostana 2

The air pollution in Delhi has been the talk of the town from the past many months. After Diwali, the situation has become worst. And now, Delhi’s air pollution has become a hurdle for Karan Johar’s production venture Dostana 2.

According to a report in a tabloid, the makers were going to shoot for the film in Delhi, but they have decided to push the schedule due to the increased air pollution in the state. The shooting of the film kickstarted a few days ago in Chandigarh.

A source told the tabloid, “With visibility also being poor, the makers decided not to risk the health of the team and have pushed the Delhi schedule to a later date when the air quality improves. Kartik, Janhvi and Lakshya will be shooting in Chandigarh for a few more days, where they will be joined by the supporting cast. Closer to the weekend, they will move to Patiala for another week-long spell.”

Well, a few days ago, Priyanka Chopra, who was in Delhi to shoot for The White Tiger, had also posted a picture on Instagram in which she was seen wearing a mask. She had captioned the picture as, “Shoot days for #thewhitetiger. It’s so hard to shoot here right now that I can’t even imagine what it must be like to live here under these conditions. We r blessed with air purifiers and masks. Pray for the homeless. Be safe everyone. #airpollution #delhipollution? #weneedsolutions #righttobreathe.”

It clearly looks like the situation in Delhi is hazardous.

Talking about Dostana 2, the film stars Kartik Aaryan, Janhvi Kapoor, and Lakshya in the lead roles. While the makers have not yet announced the release date of the film, it will be hitting the screens in 2020.
