Clash between SRK and Ranveer Singh's films averted

Clashes between two films have always been detrimental to the industry as a whole. In spite of that, some filmmakers never think twice before releasing their film on the same date which has already been booked by some other film.

We, almost every year, see big box office clashes during festive, but 2018 is going to witness the maximum number of clashes. However, the good news is that one such clash happening between two biggies featuring two salable actors has been averted.

Reportedly, Shah Rukh Khan and Ranveer Singh were all set to lock horns on 21st December 2018 with their films. While SRK has almost decided to release his Aanand L Rai directorial on 21st December, Ranveer Singh's Temper remake, which is being helmed by Rohit Shetty, was also eyeing the same release date.

However, Rohit Shetty has, reportedly, decided to push his film by a week. The director does not want to spoil the business of both the films and hence he will be releasing his film on 28th December.

A source reveals to an Indian daily, “Rohit Shetty’s film has been pushed further by a week. It will now release on December 28 and not Christmas week. While earlier it was to release on December 21, now two films are coming on that day – Shah Rukh Khan’s untitled next directed by Aanand L Rai and Abhishek Kapoor’s Kedarnath. Rohit has never been someone who likes his films to clash with others as he believes they cut into the box-office business. Also, he knows SRK well and the two had a word with each other about it. Both are big films in their own way, hence Rohit, who is co-producing the film with Reliance Entertainment, decided to postpone Temper by a week.”

Shah Rukh Khan has already started shooting for his dwarf film, while Ranveer's movie is yet to go on floors.
