However, now reportedly, CBFC has passed the film with a U/A certificate, but the title of the film will be changed.

Recently, Kangana Ranaut attended a meeting with the members of CBFC for Mental Hai Kya. Reportedly, the jury cleared the film with minor changes and almost without any cuts. However, the title of the film will be changed and Balaji Motion Pictures will announce it soon.

When a few weeks ago, the new motion poster of the film was released, producer Ekta Kapoor had written a disclaimer about the film on Twitter. She had tweeted, “DISCLAIMER :D film in no way marginalises d mental health community & d title of our film doesn’t intend 2 disregard any1 sentiments. It is sensitive towards d issue of mental illness. A fictional thriller dat encourages you 2 celebrate Ur uniqueness & embrace Ur individuality.”

Now let’s wait and watch what will be the new title of the movie.

Kangana Ranaut and Rajkummar Rao will be seen together on the big screen again after a gap of five years. The two starred together in 2014 release Queen. Mental Hai Kya is slated to release on 26th July 2019. Even because of its release date, the film had faced controversies as earlier, Hrithik Roshan starrer Super 30 was also slated to release on the same day. However, the later the makers of Super 30 shifted their film to 12th July.

Now Mental Hai Kya will be clashing with Diljit Dosanjh, Kriti Sanon, and Varun Sharma starrer Arjun Patiala. The trailer of Arjun Patiala has been released and it has received a good response. Reportedly, the Kangana and Rajkummar starrer was going to get a new release date because of the controversies. However, looks like now as the issues with CBFC have been solved the movie will release as per the schedule.

Bad Daughter by Sangeeta Pillai is a defiant rejection of the ‘good Indian girl’ myth

Bad Daughter by Sangeeta Pillai is not just a memoir; it's a declaration of war against cultural conformity and a powerful roadmap for reclaiming one's authentic self. The title, a label often hurled at Pillai for daring to defy the rigid expectations placed on "good Indian girls" (Bad Betis), is proudly worn as a badge of honour. This raw and unflinching feminist memoir charts the author's incredible journey from a harrowing, poverty-stricken childhood in a Mumbai slum to becoming a celebrated global voice for South Asian women's issues in London.

Pillai grew up amidst the stark realities of domestic violence -a violent, alcoholic father and her mother who was later brutally murdered yet she refused to let these traumas extinguish the "fire in her belly." Her early life became an active battle against patriarchy, a fierce determination to reject the script laid out for her: arranged marriage, silence, and submission. She fought for her education, forged a path to financial independence, and eventually emigrated, carving out a new, successful life for herself, founding the award-winning Masala Podcast and the feminist platform Soul Sutras.
