Bobby Deol starrer Netflix original Class of 83 starts rolling

Last seen in Yamla Pagla Deewana Phir Se (2018), Bollywood star Bobby Deol has started shooting for his next project, titled Class of 83. The Netflix original, which went on floors on Sunday, will mark Deol’s debut in the digital world.

Superstar Shah Rukh Khan, who is riding high on the success of his latest production Badla (2019), is producing the web-series for Netflix. It will be his second production for the leading streamer after the Emraan Khan and Kirti Kulhari starrer Bard of Blood, which is awaiting its premiere.

Though nothing much is known about the storyline of Class of 83, some insiders reveal it revolves around an inspector who is also an instructor and focuses on his students who are grappling with the complexities of honour, morals, and devotion to the nation.

The digital series is being helmed by filmmaker Atul Sabharwal, who has previously called the shots for such films as Midnight Lost and Found (2008), Aurangzeb (2013) and Their Shoes (2015).
