Bipasha Basu on completing 18 years in the industry: I am so grateful for this amazing journey

Bipasha Basu made her Bollywood debut with Abbas-Mustan’s thriller Ajnabee. The film also starred Akshay Kumar, Bobby Deol, and Kareena Kapoor Khan. Bipasha was appreciated for her performance in the film and even won Filmfare Award for Best Debut Female.

On 21st September 2019, the film completed 18 years of its release which means even Bipasha completed 18 years in Bollywood. She took to Instagram to thank everyone for this journey.


The actress posted, “18 years ago our film industry accepted me with open arms with the release of #ajnabee ... and the audiences accepted me in their hearts so lovingly. I am so grateful for this amazing journey of life through my films and I am so proud of myself that I stayed true to who I am ,no matter what... achieved all on my terms only. I want to thank all my producers, directors , co stars and the entire team of each and every film. Thank you to all the people who love me and my work ?❤️ I love being an actor ?❤️ Thank you abbas Bhai, mustan Bhai, Hussain Bhai @iambobbydeol @akshaykumar , Kareena , vijay galani - Team #ajnabee ❤️ #grateful #18yearsinbollywood #blessed.”

In these 18 years Bipasha has given some fantastic performances in movies like Raaz, Jism, No Entry, Corporate, Dhoom 2, Race, Raaz 3, Alone and others. Its been four years we have seen her on the big screen, but the actress is all set for a comeback with a film titled Aadat which also stars her hubby Karan Singh Grover.

Bipasha and Karan met on the sets of Alone and love blossomed between them. The two tied the knot in 2016 and their social media PDA always gives us couple goals.

On-set clash over action scene

Olivia Munn has revealed that a male co-star once refused to film a scene in which her character saved his, bringing production to a halt for nearly 45 minutes.

Speaking on The Drew Barrymore Show, she said the disagreement arose during the filming of an action sequence where both characters were fighting side by side in a bunker.
