Avinash Tiwary and Mrunal Thakur in Karan Johar’s Ghost Stories

After Lust Stories, Karan Johar, Zoya Akhtar, Anurag Kashyap, and Dibakar Banerjee are once again coming up with an anthology on Netflix which is titled as Ghost Stories. As the title suggests this time, the four directors are all set to scare us with their horror flicks.

A few days ago, it was confirmed that Sobhita Dhulipala will headline Anurag Kashyap’s directorial in the Ghost Stories. Now, Karan Johar has roped in Avinash Tiwary and Mrunal Thakur for his film in the anthology. This will be for the first time when Karan will be directing a horror flick and we are super excited about it.

Avinash Tiwary made his debut last year with the film Laila Majnu. Though the film failed to make a mark at the box office, Avinash’s performance was praised a lot. He has also been roped in to star in Anushka Sharma’s production venture Bulbul which will also be streamed on Netflix. Tiwary also has The Girl On The Train remake in his kitty.

Talking about Mrunal Thakur, the actress made her international debut last year with Love Sonia and this year made her Bollywood debut with Hrithik Roshan starrer Super 30. She was also seen opposite John Abraham in Batla House.

Lust Stories surely gave a boost to Kiara Advani and Vicky Kaushal’s career. Both the actors were a part of Karan’s directorial in the anthology. We are sure Ghost Stories will also turn out to be lucky for Avinash and Mrunal.

Meanwhile, Karan is also busy with the preparations of his directorial Takht which stars Kareena Kapoor Khan, Ranveer Singh, Alia Bhatt, Vicky Kaushal, Janhvi Kapoor, Bhumi Pednekar and Anil Kapoor. While the makers haven’t officially announced the release date, it is said that the movie will hit the screens in December 2020.
