Aryan Khan to assist Karan Johar on Takht

Fans always get excited whenever star-kids make their debut on silver screen and take their parents’ legacy forward. If we talk about which is the next star-kid the audience is all agog to see making a debut in filmdom, then it has to be none other than Shah Rukh Khan’s son Aryan Khan.

Well, the suave and handsome Aryan Khan is indeed entering the Hindi film industry, but he has taken a different route to make his debut. According to reports, filmmaker Karan Johar, who is very close to the Khan family, has brought Aryan onboard to assist him on his forthcoming directorial venture, Takht.


The big-ticket film, which Johar announced last year, is a period drama featuring an ensemble cast including Ranveer Singh, Kareena Kapoor Khan, Alia Bhatt, Janhvi Kapoor, Anil Kapoor, Vicky Kaushal, and Bhumi Pednekar. Aryan, who is more interested in filmmaking than acting, will assist Dharma Productions’ head on his ambitious project.

Takht has screenplay by Sumit Roy, while Hussain Haidry has penned the dialogues. Set to begin production towards the end of the year, the movie is scheduled to buzz into theatres in 2020.

Speaking during Channel 4’s annual report presentation, Priya Dogra reportedly said she was “deeply sorry” for the distress experienced by female participants whose allegations have triggered political scrutiny, police involvement and an external review into the reality programme.
