We all know that Shahid Kapoor and Kiara Advani starrer Kabir Singh is a remake of Telugu film Arjun Reddy. The original movie starred Vijay Deverakonda and the film made him a star overnight. Vijay has been quite supportive towards Kabir Singh and before the release of the film; he had also stated that it will be a blockbuster. However, it has left us surprised that Vijay has not yet watched Kabir Singh.

Vijay is busy with the promotions of his next release, Dear Comrade, and according to a portal when he was asked if he has watched Kabir Singh, the actor replied, “Shahid has done that film, and he has gone through the character, and there is nothing for me to watch it again. I know the story; I have done that film, why will I watch again?”

While we all had thought that Vijay would watch Kabir Singh, his answer has cleared that he isn’t interested in watching the film.

Kabir Singh is directed by Sandeep Reddy Vanga who had also helmed the original film. The Shahid Kapoor starrer has become a blockbuster at the box office with the collection of Rs 252.46 crore. Even in its fourth week, the movie stable and it has turned out to be the highest grossing film of the year till date.

The movie received mixed reviews as a lot of people felt that it is promoting toxic masculinity. However, the audiences have loved the film and the collections are proof.  The movie has also turned out to be the highest grosser for Shahid Kapoor as a solo hero film.

When the movie had reached the 200 crore club, Shahid had posted on Instagram, “Your love is so overwhelming words will always fall short. Thank you for understanding him forgiving him and loving him with all your heart. We all fall apart. And we all must strive to rise from our faults. To be better. To be wiser. To be kinder. He is flawed. So are we all. You didn’t judge him you experienced him. You understood him. I have never ever felt so thankful. The most flawed character I have ever played. Has become my most loved. Indeed indian cinema and the audience has come a long way. More power to brave choices. More power to you all for your maturity and humanness. You have given me wings to fly. To not only be burdened by the need to be loved to be a star but to have the courage to be hated in equal measure to be an actor. Here’s to cinema mirroring life. To protagonists who don’t have to be restricted by their goodness and can be human and imperfect. There is perfection in imperfection and that is the beauty and the challenge of this human life. Thank you. Again and again. You all are the heroes of this story.”

Starting with Suhana, Karan didn’t shy away from the criticism she received after The Archies. But he pointed out that her next film King, opposite her father Shah Rukh Khan, will be a real game-changer. “People will finally see her for who she is on screen,” he said, adding that she’s put in the hours, studied the craft, and is not relying on her last name. According to him, Suhana’s work speaks for itself. He’s seen her earlier performances and believes King will prove there’s a real actor in her, one with her own voice, not just a shadow of her father.
