Arjun Kapoor to team up with Saurabh Shukla for a film!

Actor Arjun Kapoor is undoubtedly in the best phase of his career. He had two releases in 2017 - Half Girlfriend and Mubarakan - and both turned out to be immensely successful for all the stakeholders involved.

The actor has an impressive lineup of films ahead. He will soon start shooting for Sandeep Aur Pinky Faraar with Parineeti Chopra. Produced by Yash Raj Films, the project is being helmed by award-winning filmmaker Dibakar Banerjee.

The next film in his hand is Namastey Canada. The Vipul Amrutlal Shah directorial also features Parineeti Chopra as his leading lady. Besides these two movies, Arjun is also in talks to star in a film called Farzi. Kriti Sanon might play his heroine in the flick.

And now, the next project Kapoor is being associated with is veteran actor Saurabh Shukla's untitled directorial venture.  The actor-turned-filmmaker, who last directed Pappu Can't Dance Saala (2011) almost six years ago, is all set to call the shots again and might rope in Kapoor in the film.

Touted to be a courtroom drama, the yet-to-be-titled film will see Arjun as a raw, down-to-earth, but aggressive and cynical lawyer.

Talking about the film Shukla says, "I do have plans of directing. The film with Arjun will be announced in the right way when it happens. I would love to work with every artist in this industry, and Arjun is a bright, young, hardworking and talented actor."

An official announcement is awaited.

Highlights:

  • Part of wider plan to fight violence against women and online harm.
  • Tech firms will be forced to block such content or face heavy Ofcom fines.
  • Experts say the ban responds to medical evidence and years of campaigning.

You see it everywhere now. In mainstream pornography, a man’s hands around a woman’s neck. It has become so common that for many, especially the young, it just seems like part of sex, a normal step. The UK government has decided it should not be, and soon, it will be a crime.

The plan is to make possessing or distributing pornographic material that shows sexual strangulation, often called ‘choking’, illegal. This is a specific amendment to the Crime and Policing Bill. Ministers are acting on the back of a stark, independent review. That report found this kind of violence is not just available online, but it is rampant. It has quietly, steadily, become normalised.
