Arjun Bijlani: Anchoring gives you a break from serials

Many actors enjoy a big fan following on social media and look forward to interacting with their fans. Some actors have taken their interaction to another level by launching their own app. Arjun Bijlani is the latest celebrity to join the bandwagon. “I wanted a better connect with my fans, which is why an app seemed apt. Other than social media handles, this is a great way to give fans something more. Not only will my fans have first-hand access to my life, but also information about what’s new with me, and a chance to meet me via contests on the app,” he says.

Currently busy with his daily show Ishq Mein Marjawan, Arjun is also hosting a dance reality show judged by Madhuri Dixit Nene. He is excited about this “new role” as it allows him to show the world his real self. “Hosting is a lot of fun. I have hosted many stage shows and even a reality show Road Dairies. I have been part of fiction shows which need 28 days a month. So, I didn’t have time to host more shows. I love hosting as you are not playing a character and the audiences get to know you better. Anchoring gives you a break from serials and as I am a people person, I like interacting with contestants,” he says.

Shooting for both his shows simultaneously has been taking a toll on Arjun. “The first three days of shooting both shows back-to-back was a bit difficult. I almost lost my voice. It was quite hectic but I hope we get into a smooth rhythm soon,” he says. He will be shooting for the reality show until September and that’s why he will not be accompanying his family for their summer vacation. Arjun elaborates, “I plan to take a short trip after September with them but for now they will enjoy a 10-day trip to Europe. I will miss them a lot.”

A song shaped by reflection rather than intention

For Dhee, Vari Vari was not born out of a deliberate attempt to move in a new direction. Instead, it arrived during a period of reflection that naturally began influencing the music she was making. Speaking exclusively, the singer described how many of her recent songs have mirrored experiences unfolding in her own life, making them feel more personal than planned.

That emotional undercurrent eventually found its way into Vari Vari. Conversations with lyricist Vivek (Vivek Anna) slowly shaped the track, which grew from discussions around love and human connection. Rather than following a formula, the song evolved organically and became a reflection of thoughts she had already been carrying.
