By: Admin Super

Versatile actress Anupama Solanki has delighted TV audiences with a series of winning turns.

The hard-working small screen star is currently starring in three TV shows, Vighnaharta Ganesha, Daayan and Yeh Hai Mohabbatein.

Eastern Eye caught up with Anupama to talk all things television.

Which TV shows did you enjoy growing up?
I was more into cartoons growing up, so really loved watching Sinchan and DoremonDoremon was interesting to watch because of the various gadgets and its uses. It was fascinating for me. Sinchan was almost everyone’s favourite cartoon. The way he used to dance, talk and trouble everyone was just too funny.

How did you feel seeing yourself on TV for the first time?
It was like a dream come true. I could not believe that it was me. It was a very proud feeling for me and especially my parents. It was one of the best days of my life.

How do you look at your journey on television?
A path with difficulties, fun, enjoyment and dreams. I try my level best to give it all whenever I am in front of the camera. There is no stopping or looking back for me.

What has been your most memorable moment?
It would be when I got the offer for my first show; it was like a dream come true.

What project gave you the greatest satisfaction?
Daayan, because my character in it was very unique and quite difficult to perform as well. I really had fun shooting it.

How do you cope with the demanding schedule of Indian television?
Patience is the ultimate key. You just have to be patient and keep working hard with honesty, that’s what I believe in.

What have you binge-watched recently?
Dark on Netflix.

Tell us, do you have a dream role?
I would love to do an action-based role. It would be interesting to fight with the villain as I have never done it before and second, I want to play a bubbly girl like Kareena Kapoor in Jab We Met.

Tell us your future plans?
As of now, I am doing the three shows Vighnaharta Ganesha, Daayan and Yeh Hai Mohabbatein. I am satisfied with doing such wonderful shows. Nothing is planned for the future, but I want to keep working hard and make a good name in the Indian TV industry.

What inspires you?
My parents inspire me a lot each day. The way they have been working for themselves and our family is just amazing. My dad is a Subedar-Major and he is serving for our country, which makes me feel proud every day. He inspires me the most in life.
