Alia Bhatt in Priyanka Chopra's film on stray dogs

It’s not a secret that there are many popular Bollywood celebrities who have their beloved four-legged BFFs. Most of the celebs are huge animal advocates and keep raising their voice against brutalities meted out to animals more often than not.

One such star is Priyanka Chopra, who is an avid animal lover. Taking her animal love to another level, the actress is now planning a children-based film on stray dogs. She wanted a renowned female face from Bollywood for a cameo appearance in her project and even approached a couple of actresses. However, their demands shocked the Quantico star to no end and now she has, reportedly, approached Alia Bhatt, who has shown her interest in the movie.

"Speculations were rife that the duo met to discuss a film where they will be seen together, but actually, Priyanka bounced off the idea of her project to Alia. The latter has liked the story but is yet to give her nod. Alia and Priyanka are extremely fond of each other. Plus this is a story that Alia herself pledges her support to. But the only problem is her dates. Alia already has her date diary full with Zoya Akhtar’s Gully Boy, Abhishek Varman’s next, Ayan Mukherji’s Brahmastra, along with the release of Meghna Gulzar’s Raazi”.

Well, it will be interesting to see if Alia manages to squeeze out some time from her busy schedule for Priyanka’s film.

  • The merger would unite major brands including CNN, HBO, CBS, Paramount Pictures and Nickelodeon.
  • State regulators, UK watchdogs and industry critics are still scrutinising the deal.

The proposed Paramount Skydance-Warner Bros Discovery merger has moved a step closer to reality after receiving approval from the US Department of Justice, clearing one of the biggest regulatory hurdles facing the £82.8bn ($111bn) deal.

The Paramount-Warner Bros merger, one of the largest media industry deals in recent years, would reshape the entertainment landscape by bringing together some of the world's best-known television networks, film studios and streaming businesses under a single corporate umbrella. However, despite the federal approval, the transaction remains under scrutiny in multiple jurisdictions and could still face legal challenges before it is completed.
