Alia Bhatt heads off to Indore for Kalank

Alia Bhatt has headed to Indore, Madhya Pradesh, to commence the next shooting schedule of her much-hyped film Kalank, produced by Karan Johar and Sajid Nadiadwala.

She will soon be joined on the sets by her co-stars Sanjay Dutt, Madhuri Dixit, Aditya Roy Kapur, Sonakshi Sinha and Varun Dhawan. After wrapping up the Indore schedule, the entire team will return to Mumbai to begin the next schedule.


“The team will be shooting in Madhya Pradesh for two weeks, following which they resume another long schedule in Mumbai,” a source close to the movie revealed.

Alia Bhatt, who was last seen in Meghna Gulzar’s successful film Raazi (2018), has an interesting line-up of films which will be releasing in 2019. Her first release in 2019 will be Zoya Akhtar’s Gully Boy followed by Abhishek Verman’s Kalank and Ayan Mukerji’s Brahmastra. She will also be seen in Karan Johar’s Takht which releases in 2020.

Kalank, bankrolled under the banners of Dharma Productions and Nadiadwala Grandson Entertainment, is slated to release on 19th April, 2019.
