After Dilwale, Kajol and Shah Rukh Khan to reteam for Hindi Medium 2

Kajol and Shah Rukh Khan together form one of the most loved onscreen couples of Indian cinema. The duo has delivered many blockbuster films in the past, including Baazigar (1993), Karan Arjun (1995), Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge (1995), Kuch Kuch Hota Hai (1998) and Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham (2001).

They were last seen together in filmmaker Rohit Shetty’s Dilwale in 2015. However, the movie did not match up to the exorbitant expectations of the audience and failed to put up a satisfactory show at the box-office. While the audience loved Khan and Kajol’s chemistry, they blamed the bland story for the dismal performance of the film at the cash counter.

If you have been missing the superhit couple on the big screen, let us inform you that they might come together after four years. According to reports, the makers of the critically acclaimed film Hindi Medium (2017) are persuading them to play important roles in the film’s sequel Hindi Medium 2 along with Irrfan Khan.

An Indian daily reports that SRK and Kajol have been sounded out the script and both can sign the project on the dotted line very soon. Unlike Hindi Medium, which was based in Delhi, its sequel will unfold in the US, as per reports.

An official announcement is awaited.

  • The merger would unite major brands including CNN, HBO, CBS, Paramount Pictures and Nickelodeon.
  • State regulators, UK watchdogs and industry critics are still scrutinising the deal.

The proposed Paramount Skydance-Warner Bros Discovery merger has moved a step closer to reality after receiving approval from the US Department of Justice, clearing one of the biggest regulatory hurdles facing the £82.8bn ($111bn) deal.

The Paramount-Warner Bros merger, one of the largest media industry deals in recent years, would reshape the entertainment landscape by bringing together some of the world's best-known television networks, film studios and streaming businesses under a single corporate umbrella. However, despite the federal approval, the transaction remains under scrutiny in multiple jurisdictions and could still face legal challenges before it is completed.
