A couple of days ago, Rishi Kapoor was hospitalised in Delhi where he was shooting for one of his movies. There were multiple reports about his health. While some stated he had got some infection, some said that he collapsed on the sets of his film and that’s why was rushed to the hospital.

Now finally, the veteran actor himself has revealed on Twitter that why he was hospitalised. Rishi Kapoor tweeted, “Dear family, friends, foes and followers. I have been overwhelmed by all your concern about my health.Thank you. I have been filming in Delhi past 18 days and because of the Pollution and my low count of neutrophils, I caught an infection whereby I had to be hospitalized. (1)…..”

In his second tweet he wrote, “I was running a slight fever and on investigation,Dr.s found a patch which could have lead to pneumonia, was detected and is being cured. People seem to have assumed a lot different. I put to rest all those  stories and look forward to entertain and love you. I am now in Mumbai.”

In 2018, Rishi Kapoor was diagnosed with cancer. He flew down to the US for the treatment and came back to Mumbai last year in September.

The actor has two films in his kitty, a slice-of-life film with Juhi Chawla and the remake of The Intern which stars Deepika Padukone as well. The film with Juhi Chawla was announced in 2018 but the shooting of the movie was stalled due to Rishi Kapoor’s health. Rishi Kapoor and Juhi Chawla have worked together in many films in the 90s. It will surely be interesting to watch them together on the big screen again.
