Jacqueline Fernandez, who was last seen on the big screen in Race 3 (2018) opposite Salman Khan, has been missing from the scene for over a year now. After a long absence, she is now gearing up for her next Drive which is set to premiere directly on Netflix.

The latest we hear that Jacqueline might join forces with John Abraham for his next film Attack. Abraham announced earlier this year that he will topline a high-octane action entertainer. And now, the news is coming in that Jacqueline is being lined up to pair opposite him in the film.

The duo was last seen together in Rohit Dhawan’s Dishoom (2016) which also starred Varun Dhawan in a pivotal role. However, the two were not romantically paired opposite each other.

“It’s Jacqueline Fernandez. Jackie has been roped in to essay the role of the primary female protagonist. Hers is an action-packed role as well. Jacqueline was in talks with Lakshya for some time and they wanted to do a film together. When he narrated the story of Attack to her, she immediately liked it and gave her nod to the project. She has also signed on the dotted line,” a source close to the development reveals to an entertainment portal.

The source goes on to add, “They were thinking of actresses and they locked Jacqueline because of her athletic figure and her action prowess. Jackie is terrific with stunts and that’s also one of the major highlights in Attack.”

Attack will be directed by debutant director Lakshya Raj Anand. Dheeraj Wadhawan and Ajay Kapoor’s Kyta Productions is co-producing the film with John Abraham’s JA Entertainment. Attack is set to go on the floors in December.
