5 Bigg Boss contestants who have potential to win season 12

Dipika Kakar Ibrahim

The newlywed Dipika, is one of the contestants of this year. She’s popular for playing the role of Simar in Sasural Simar Ka. Being a great bahu (according to her mother in law), and living as a PG (paying guest) in the past, she for sure would know how to compromise in the house and give her best in every tasks.

Karanvir Bohra

He has been in this industry for over a decade now, from playing the character of Prem in Kasautii Zindagii Kay to Rocky in Naagin 2.  Whether it’s a physical task or mental task, Karanvir seems to be a strong contestant to pass them and make himself one of the finalists.

Jasleen Matharu

It is not clear yet how the jodis elimination will be done but if jodis get separated then Jasleen also seem to be a strong contestant. Her entering the house with her guru Anup Jalota, already caused a lot of drama in the house on the first day. Jasleen who is a singer and performer surely is one of them contestant who won’t sit back if she wants to give an opinion.

Deepak Thakur

Deepak is clearly one of the funniest and talkative contestants of this year. He entered the house in jodi with Urvashi Vani. He sung for the movie Gangs of Wasseypur in 2012. Most of the times, the contestants, who come from a village or a small town, they usually get audience’s attention and get saved during eliminations like Manveer Gurjar, who was the winner of Bigg Boss 10. Therefore, it won’t be a surprise if Deepak manages to survive until the last few days, even though few contestants in the house think he’s good for nothing but only time will tell.

Shivashish Mishra

Shivashish also entered the house in a jodi with Sourabh Patel. He’s introduction video was nothing but talking about his lavish lifestyle and him getting whatever he wants. Which is not really the case in the Bigg Boss house, you will be lucky if you can get a full plate of food during lunch and dinner. However, tough situation teaches people to be strong even if they feel alone. Shivashish got the potential to be one of the strong and hardworking contestant in the future if he carries on playing well, which can take him to the finale.

Instagram blocks profiles of Fawad Khan, Atif Aslam and Rahat Fateh Ali Khan in India amid rising tensions

The Instagram profiles of Pakistani celebrities like Fawad Khan, Atif Aslam, and Rahat Fateh Ali Khan are no longer accessible in India. This development comes just weeks before Fawad’s planned Bollywood return with Abir Gulaal and follows a series of social media restrictions tied to the worsening India–Pakistan relationship.

When Indian fans try to view the artists' Instagram pages, they’re met with a message: "Account not available in India. This is because we complied with a legal request to restrict this content." No official clarification has come from either the Indian government or Meta, but the timing is significant. The move comes days after a terror attack in Jammu and Kashmir’s Pahalgam region killed 26 people, most of them tourists. It was one of the deadliest attacks since the 2008 Mumbai carnage.

Ed Sheeran sings in Punjabi and plays tabla in new album 'Play' blending Indian sounds with global beats

Ed Sheeran is turning the page with his next album Play, which he describes as a personal reset and creative leap, one shaped by travel, heartbreak, and a thirst for joy. Known for his quiet acoustic sound and mathematical album titles, Sheeran’s newest project is a colourful detour packed with global rhythms, Indian influences, and an unfiltered celebration of spontaneity.

The album, out on 12 September, is not a continuation of his symbol-themed series. Instead, it’s a collection of tracks recorded while touring different parts of the world. Much of the album’s soul, he says, was shaped in India, where he ended the recording process in Goa. From playing the tabla and sitar to singing a Punjabi line: “cham cham chamke sitare warghi”, Sheeran’s time in the country clearly left a mark. He even got a tattoo in Punjabi during his visit.
