Varun Dhawan and Alia Bhatt to collaborate for the fifth time

Varun Dhawan and Alia Bhatt together form one of the most successful onscreen pairs of recent times. Both the actors started their acting careers with Karan Johar’s blockbuster film Student Of The Year (2012) and impressed the audience with their stunning chemistry in following films like Humpty Sharma Ki Dulhania (2014) and Badrinath Ki Dulhania (2017). They are presently shooting for their fourth film Kalank.

The latest we hear that Varun and Alia may be seen sharing screen space once again in what would be their fifth film together. According to reports, filmmaker David Dhawan is gearing up to start work on his next directorial venture and he is keen to rope in his son Varun Dhawan and Ali Bhatt as leads in his movie.

While Varun has previously teamed up with his father on such successful films as Main Tera Hero (2014) and Judwaa 2 (2017), Alia Bhatt has never worked under the direction of David Dhawan. If the untitled project materializes, it will be her first film with Senior Dhawan.

Buzz had it a couple of months ago that the Dhawans (David, Rohit and Varun) were planning to revive the No. 1 series which was started by David Dhawan in the 90s. It will be interesting to see if Senior Dhawan has picked up a new story for his next film or another remake of one of his 90s’ films is on the cards.
